Germany: At 0600 local time (0500 UTC) on 24 February 2009, workers at Berlin's Tegel (EDDT/TXL) and Schoenefeld (EDDB/SXF) airports launched a 3-1/2 hour work stoppage to press their demands for an 8 percent pay raise. The strike caused disruptions, as several dozen flights were delayed or canceled. Affected airlines included Lufthansa and Air Berlin.
