Worth a visit while in Dusseldorf

The Konigsallee
The Konigsallee – fondly
shortened to ‘the Ko’ by Dusseldorf residents – is the pride of the city. And rightly so, as it is hardly possible for
this splendid boulevard, located between the princely Hofgarten (court gardens)
and the Gustav-Adolf-Strasse, to have been created more beautifully: in the middle is a park-like stretch and a
waterway with elegantly arched bridges and double rows of sycamore trees on
both sides of the canal.
On the west side of the Ko
financial institutions have take up residence behind pompous facades, but the
east side is devoted to the finer things in life, like fashion and all the
leading brands of the international lifestyle.
Where once kings and princes rode in their coaches, today the well-to-do
stroll along to shop in the luxury boutiques, jewelers, visit the art galleries
or take a break in one of the numerous cafes.
Make sure to take a couple of
hours to walk along the Konigsallee and fall under the spell of a truly charming
part of Dusseldorf.
