You can never have too many shoes. That’s a fact and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Whether you're into classic, trendy, sporty or wellness styles, there is a place where you can see it all: at the upcoming trade fair GDS 2012 - International Event for Shoes & Accessories, held from March 14 – 16, 2012 at the fairgrounds in the fashion metropolis Düsseldorf, Germany.
More than 800 exhibitors from 30 countries will dazzle you with more than 1,800 new footwear collections for the Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 season. And if this is not enough, an extensive program of ancillary events such as catwalk shows, seminars and lectures will help you to pair your chic shoes with the right outfit. With the motto “Inspiration to Go”, the entire image of GDS has been re-designed, and you're in for a real visual treat!
“New” seems to be the keyword for GDS – the event will feature numerous new exhibitors and brands, such as Benson Shoes, Via Roma, Dumond, Piedi Nudi, Aerosoles and Barefooters. Showing their products for the first time in the premium segment will be Jo Ghost, Kenzo, Paul & Joe/Berthier, Santoni Club/Vestitus and Ducanero while the shoe collection of fashion designer Michael Michalsky will premiere in the white cubes area. In the Urban segment, Nickelson, Panama Jack, PLDM by Palladium, Shepherd, Coqueterra, Moonboot by Tecnica, Hi-Tec, Les Tropeziennes par M Belarbi, Trifoglio and Umber will make their debut.
|Not to be missed is the funky “Design Attack” area, this time with the circus theme "Chikki Mikki" where about 100 young designers will present their unusual collections in a circus setting complete with a circus rink and trailers.
GDS is a "trade-only" event, and you can order your free entrance pass online at www.gds-online.com. This website is also a great tool to get all the details about this exciting event for the international footwear industry.
